Here you can see that we have a pair of car ramps under the trailer we used to to test where we wanted to put our axle. To figure out where we wanted our axle we measured to see where the hover engine would be comparied to the tires and then we just kinda guessed, it worked out good.
Here it is with the axle on the trailer, its a 3500lbs axle from Tractor supply, and we just put the smallest car tires that we could find at the junkyard on it.
Here is a close up of the axle
If you click on this picture its not blurry.
Since we cut the toung off of the trailer we needed a new one and the 10f trailer had a perfect toung on it, we left it extra long when we built that trailer because we didn't feel like cutting it, and it paid off LOL. Although the tounge was the only thing holding the 10f trailer together, we also took some of the angle iron off of this trailer for the 18sp trailer.
Since we were putting a new tounge of the trailer we decided to make it a tilt trailer. Here is the pivot bolt.
Then we put two pins in to keep the trailer from tilting when we didn't want it too. We put we thought we would put two in there so we could put the 2nd pin in for long trips just to be safe.
Here is the trailer most of the way done. We just needed to put on the sides and figure out some kind of ramp system.
