Here is the prop shaft with the big wooden sheeve mounted and the belts on.
We put a backing plate on it so that when we tightened the bolts down in the P1 bushing the bolts wouldn't smash into the wood.
Here is a close up of the lable on the belts, if you click on it you can read the label.
Here is the everflex coupling mounted on the flywheel with the 1 1/8" shaft coming out of it.
Here is the small 6 grove aluminuim sheave and the belt coming off of it.
Here you can see the entire shaft with all the pulleys on it and belts too.
Here is the sheave that drives the lift belt, the two bigger size groves are HI and LOW for hovering and the smallest one is for flying in the WIG mode.
Here you can see that belt bending around the idlers.
Here are the rear idlers with the belt wraping around them
Here is the pulley that we replaced the variator with, its just a double groove 5.5" aluminuim sheave.
Here is the chunk of the bell housing that we needed to mount the starter.
Here are the forward idler pulleys, they can move up and down in a grove in the lift suports at a 30 degree angle.
Here are the lift fan suports with the lines draw at 30 degrees were we needed to glue some supports for the angle iron that will go in there.
This is what I used to draw the lines on the lift suports with, its a 30-60 triangle with a line level hot glued to the top of it.
Here are the angle iron supports in with the 1" pillow block bolted on them.
here is THe lift fan sitting on the shaft, it actually fit in the duct and the tip clearence looks really good.
