We decided to take our 10f to The Terre Haute Hover rally put on buy the HCA again this year. This time I didn't race the 10f though. They also got a new race site which will be used for the World hovercraft races in september and its really nice. On the race day, Saturday, it rained just about all day long so it wasn't as fun as the past years had been but we still had a petty good time. We got to the race site early on Saterday and it hadn't started raining yet and there was no wind, so I decided to take our hover out on the cruising lake and play around while I could, at this time the water was as smooth as glass. While I was out there I got our 10f up to 31MPH with me in it (about 250LBS)! This blew away our old top speed of 26mph on water. We also orded our prop fan and a few pulleys from Bob Windt a few weeks ago and he brought them up with him for us to pick up. Later saturday night at the Banquite Bob Windt gave a presentation on the Evolution of homebuild hovers in the USA, he did a really good job and it was very interesting to see all the different kinds of hover he has built.
