Here is the engine on the mount and most off the pulleys and belts and prop on it, we were just test fitting evrything. This was right after we got home from picking the parts up from Bob Windt.
Here is the rubber that we used for the engine mount. We couldn't find any soft rubber but finally we found a rubber floor matt. Its supposed to be oil, gas and UV resistant.
Here are the pieces all cut out, since the rubber wasn't thick enough we had to stack two on top of each other.
Here is one of the feet bolted to the deck.
Here is the engine mounted to the mound and the mount and the belts are on too.
Here you can see the brace that replace the forth leg of the stand. the leg isn't there because it would get in the way of the starter.
The oil filter was hitting the mount so we had to cut some metal out, we thought that it might be to weak so we added those 1 1/4" steel tubing braces.
Here you can see the 1" square tubing that we put on the bottom of the engine mount. We did that becaues the only metric bolts we could find were either two long or two short so we added so we added the tubing so we wouldn't have to cut off the bolts.
Here is the engine on the hovercraft after we got it all painted and all done, its ready to go down to the river and run:)
