In this pic you can see a color differnce in the duct, this is because we are going to encapsulate the entire craft with epoxy to make it water proof. So whenever we have a little epoxy left over we put some here and there.
Here we got the great stuff trimed and 2 layers of 6 oz glass on the duct-hull joint.
Next we had to flip over the hovercraft to finish the bottom of the lift duct.
That curve on the back side of the duct is so that water doesn't splash up the back of the duct and contact the fan.
Here is where on of the skirt air splitters are going to be. They will steal a little bit of the air and blow up the skirt, there is one one each side of the duct.
Next we painted the bottom of the hull with latex paint like the plans say. On all of the wood there is a coat of good exterior primer and then a coat of exterior paint, which was what we covered the entire bottom with. It is an ugly brown color but we had a gallon of it already and you shouldn't every see it so it doesn't matter.
Here is one of the landing skids with a piece of 1"x3" aluminium on them.
