Here we have two layers of the 3" foam layed out making the 18'x8'x6" hull. And we are marking the shape of one side of it.
My dad is on the local fire dept. and they let us use some space up there to cut the hull out.
We used some duct tape and some screws to keep the 1/2" x 1/2" peice of wood in place so we can mark it.
Now we are marking the other side.
We used a 6" key hole saw to rouf cut the hull shape. Here we have one layer of the 3" foam cut off.
Now we have both layers cut.
Here is the hull cut to the rouf shape we left it about 2" bigger and will cut the final shape with a hot wire after we epoxy the hull togther.
Here is the hull in our garage on the stand we made for it. It bearly fits in there so we put the stand on wheels so that we could roll it out to work on it.
There are some pictures of this holder on the next page.
