We made are gaurds so we wouldn't have to do any welding or any painting, The frames are made from 1/2" conduit and the wire is 2"x2" galvanized wire. We connected the wire to the frame with heavy duty out door zip ties. Then we conected it to the duct with some aluminium brakets like the one in this picture.

We made the thrust guard in 4 peices, 1 top, 2 sides, and one center guard that doesn't have a frame, instead it just zip ties to the engine mount legs. We made the guard in piece so we could take them off easily.

We added a guard to the back of the cockpit so the person sitting in the back wouldn't get there shirt stuck in the belts.
