Here is the engine we are going to be using for our 18sp. It is a 1.8L EA-82 subaru. We got it from a 1986 GL wagon that had about 86,000 miles on it. When my dad went and listned to the engine he said that it ran almost perfect. We got it for $350.

Here is the chunk of the bell housing that we will need later to mount the starter to the engine.

We found two places where the engine is marked EA82. This is the first one it is right about the fly wheel.

The other one is stamped on the block below the air cleaner.
